This year will be my fourth time to join in the annual 7 Day Prayer and Fasting. We in Victory do this corporately as we dedicate ourselves to God. This is not a thing that we do out of obedience to our leaders. This is also not a fad that we do because other does it. It is something that we do to humble ourselves before God, denying ourselves and dedicating more time to prayer as we seek more of Him in our lives.
This is also a time for believing breakthroughs in our lives. I can remember how by growing in my faith that God has answered my faith goals over the years. My wife & I prayed to be debt free and we did get out of debt. We prayed for a car, promotion in ministry, for a friend to conceive a baby, for our marriage and for the health and welfare of our kids. All of those and a lot more prayers or faith goals were answered.
But these blessings are just mere bonuses. What we seek and dedicate ourselves to is for the Giver, the one who blesses us with these gifts, God. Our goal should be to grow more in our faith, to enjoy a more mature relationship with Him. Denying ourselves of these worldly satisfaction is but a small sacrifice so as to dedicate more of us to have a fresh encounter and revelation from God.
Matt. 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We have daily prayer meetings at Victory Greenhills, 2nd Level Promenade, Greenhills Shopping Center at 6pm and 7pm.
